About

Hello, My name is AlI GOMEZ.

As a woman with over a decade of experience in the entertainment industry, I am passionate about creating branded and promotional visual media that empowers music artists to connect with their audiences. I have been video editing professionally in Nashville, TN, for the past nine years. Since graduating from Watkins College of Art, Design, & Film in 2016, I have primarily worked in the music industry as a freelance editor and creative director.

In 2020, I launched suede + co., a creative agency and a space where myself and my colleagues can collaborate and produce high-quality, stunning promotional media for artists. I use suede + co. as a way to showcase my portfolio while also using it as a platform to collaborate with other directors, producers, graphic designers, and photographers to create promotional visuals for music releases and live shows. Throughout my career, I have worked on various projects for The Black Keys, CMA, Shania Twain, Tyler Childers, John Harvie, Cassadee Pope, and many more.

I specialize in creative direction, graphic design, and video editing, and in that time, I have edited two feature-length music documentaries: Nobody Famous and All The Way To Tacoma. I’ve also worked on numerous short-form docs and EPKs surrounding album releases, including projects for Thomas Rhett, Devin Dawson, and Dierks Bentley. My most recent favorite editing project was cutting short-form, docu-style shorts directed and shot by Lance Bangs for The Black Keys.

Each project has brought new learning experiences, helping me grow as a creative while crafting visuals that resonate with artists and their fans. While I'll continue to work in this sphere, I am looking to expand my clientele base and work with brands outside of the music industry that are making a positive change in the world.
